The Trusted CI Scholars Program offers students an unparalleled opportunity to engage in cybersecurity education, hands-on learning, and professional development within the NSF Cyberinfrastructure (CI) community.

📝 How to Apply
Complete and submit the form.
Provide a bio sketch highlighting your academic achievements and activities.
Provide a personal statement and goals outlining your interest in cybersecurity.
Provide a recommendation letter from a faculty member or advisor. This form seeks information which will be used to contact the individual recommending you, and solicits the letter. Please ensure they know the request will be coming and must be returned no later than March 11, 2026.
🎁 Program Benefits
Participate in exclusive online workshops, networking events, and mentorship.
Attend the 2026 NSF Cybersecurity Summit.
Travel support will be provided to cover transportation and accommodation expenses for attending the summit. Detailed guidance will be provided upon acceptance.
✅ Eligibility
Open to students:
At least 18 years of age by the start date of the program.
Attending a US-based accredited educational institution.
Enrolled in a degree program (part-time or full-time) leading to an associate, baccalaureate, or advanced degree.
In good academic standing.
No prior experience is required—just a strong interest and commitment to learning from the program and each other.
Scholars who have previously participated in the program are not eligible to participate again.
📌 Commitment
By applying, scholars agree to:
Participate in ~10 hour-long online workshops, many of which will occur during the summer months.
Attend the 2026 NSF Cybersecurity Summit, October 26-30, 2026.
Coordinate and manage your travel with the support provided.
Submit and present a poster session at the summit.
Actively engage with peers, mentors, and CI professionals.
