Airport and Transportation

Denver International Airport (DIA) is 45 miles from NCAR, and there are several ways to arrive. The AB1 bus (westbound to NCAR) is the least expensive option, which we strongly encourage you to take. It leaves the airport every half hour (see schedule) and stops throughout Boulder. Google Maps, on your phone or computer, also has up-to-the-minute bus scheduling information.

Plan your transportation to and from Denver International Airport (DIA) with the Next Ride trip planning tool (click image for link).

If you need other options, you may consider booking an airport shuttle with:

  • Super Shuttle is a great option.

  • People also use Lyft and Uber from the airport to Boulder. This can be expensive.
